Raised exploring the Cascade Mountains and the forests of the Pacific Northwest, Jess developed an early bond with wild places. She has lived in New York, Georgia, and Ohio, but ultimately returned home to the West—drawn by big landscapes, dark starry skies, and the mountains. Jess has a background in both graphic design and photography. Her creative work is fueled by meaningful relationships, the spirit of adventure, and the beauty of true wilderness.

Jess also enjoys making pottery, trail running, and equestrian sports.

She is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, a certified Wilderness First Responder, and a COR Professional Instructor.
