COR Expeditions exists to reclaim the wealth of people’s identity and purpose in Christ. If you are excited and willing to engage in this mission, we invite you to join us.
If you are new to our program and want to become a Seasonal Field Instructor or a Full-Time Missionary Instructor, we recommend taking one of our courses to see our work in action. A summer internship is also a great way to learn about our program. For more information about employment, or to see what positions you would be qualified for, contact zach@corexpeditions.org.

COR Missionary Instructors are on the frontlines of our work. COR Missionaries work year round in the field with a wide variety of students in some of the most beautiful and challenging wilderness areas in the US. COR missionaries are industry leading outdoor professionals, educators, and passionate Catholic missionaries, sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. You’ll spend up to 150 days a year in the field guiding backpacking, climbing, paddling, and winter trips for youth groups, schools, seminaries, and more. You’ll also help with trip planning, outreach, and mentoring students from Wyoming Catholic College. If you’re experienced in outdoor leadership, passionate about ministry, and ready to build a personal support team through fundraising, this mission-driven adventure might be your next calling.

COR Adjunct instructors only work contracted courses (typically 1–5 a year). This is a good option for experienced field staff who would like to work a few courses but have other employment elsewhere. Adjuncts are responsible for preparing, executing, and leading their co-instructors and students through all aspects of courses. They are expected to have professional knowledge of field practices as well as academic and spiritual programming for the course. Adjuncts are assigned field work based on their experience level. COR adjuncts are required to have completed the COR PIC and have a current WFR.

Am I old enough?
If you are 18 or older you are welcome to apply for any position.
Do I have enough outdoor or ministry experience?
Our Internship doesn’t require any prior experience and is intended to be an introduction for both the intern and us to see if future employment is a good fit. Other full time positions require experience. See the job applications for more information.
What about fundraising?
All full time positions at COR fundraise. While the internship is compensated with room and board as well as free training and a Wilderness First Responder course, interns are welcome to fundraise a stipend as well. Fundraising is an essential part of COR’s goal as it allows more people to be a part of COR’s mission. All staff receive training before fundraising.
Do you offer remote administrative positions?
Currently, we request that all of our full-time administrative and support staff work at our headquarters located in Lander, WY.
Who thrives as COR employee?
We have found that individuals who successfully join our team and thrive in their positions have three main attributes: they are dedicated to our mission, they are solution-oriented when it comes to the many unforeseen challenges of working in a ministry and in wilderness environments, and they have an individual growth mindset, meaning that they are personally motivated to grow, learn, and strive for excellence in their position. If you think you possess these attributes, we encourage you to apply!
