About the Course

Are you ready to challenge yourself, make unforgettable memories, and encounter God? Join COR Expeditions for a backpacking trip in the Colorado Mountains. The week will include backpacking, along with time for personal prayer and reflection and great conversations on topics such as leadership, community and identity led by COR staff throughout the trip. Take time to be renewed in your relationship with God while surrounding yourself in amazing natural beauty!

Trip Details

4 days of backpacking through Colorado Rocky Mountains, carrying 35-45 lb packs for 3-4 miles per day.
Fall weather can be unpredictable- expect temperatures ranging from 40s-80s during the day and 20s-40s at night. Rain and snow are possible.
All backpacking group and personal gear including technical personal layers are provided at no additional cost.Comprehensive packing list provided; gear reservation available through COR as a part of registration.
Moderate physical fitness recommended
No prior experience necessary - just a spirit of courage and wonder!

Travel Info

All travel is included. Students will be picked up by COR instructors at John Paul The Great Academy on Thursday, September 3rd at 4pm. Students will arrive back to John Paul the Great Academy on Monday, September 7th at 4pm.

Cost of the Trip

Cost: $390 total. A non-refundable deposit of $78 is due upon registration, and the remainder is due August 30th.

How do I get to the trip?
Once you are registered for a trip, you will receive an email at least 1-2 months prior to your trip with details regarding travel logistics. Course participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the designated location for pick-up and drop-off. Your COR instructors or a member of our support staff will pick you up in one of our program vehicles and drive you to the wilderness locations.
Do I need experience?
No prior experience with camping or any of our adventure activities is required for participation in a COR course. Our professional instructors will teach you everything you need to know to participate in each activity safely and not only survive, but thrive in each wilderness environment.
Do I need to exercise to prepare for the trip?
Although you do not need to be a superstar athlete to participate in our courses, we do encourage some basic conditioning prior to your trip, especially if you are coming from a sedentary life-style.

What Airport Should I fly into?

This does not apply to this trip. COR will pick students up at John Paul The Great High School.
