Livia Wight
Growing up in Seattle, WA, the Cascade Range and Olympic Mountains served as the backdrop to Liv’s upbringing where outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, snow sledding, and river floating serve as favorite childhood memories. After graduating high school in 2018, Liv moved to Evansville, IN to attend the University of Southern Indiana (USI) where she graduated in December of 2021 with a B.S. in Psychology. More importantly, she attended RCIA (now known as OCIA) through the USI Newman Center and was baptized, confirmed Catholic, and received the Eucharist on April 20th, 2019.
Liv’s passion for early childhood mental health and education led her to pursue an M.Ed in Early Childhood Education which she earned through Texas Woman’s University in August of 2024 and worked as an early education coach and developmental therapist. She heard about COR Expeditions through a friend over brunch during a crossroad in her life and applied for the COR summer internship not long afterwards. Upon being accepted into the program, she felt peace from the Lord to pursue it and left her full-time job at a start-up. It is during this summer season that she fell in love with the mission of COR to use nature as a conduit to emphasize to individuals their identity in the Lord.
Liv moved to Lander full-time in June of 2026 where she enjoys community life and serves the Lord through COR as the Registration Coordinator. In her spare time, you can find her in Mass or adoration, gathering with friends over a meal, swimming, reading, or seeing how close she can get to the neighborhood deer. She is CPR and WFR certified and looks forward to drawing closer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus through outdoor ministry.
